craft-hoarders-anonymous-badgeI know it’s been a while.  We will be hopping quarterly now, so you will see us in October, January, April,  and July.

Well folks, it’s October and you know what that means…..  If you are making your own holiday greeting cards, it’s time to get started.  (If only I could follow my own advice!!).  I do have one card which I’m sharing today.10-5-16-2

This card is a combination of new and hoarded crafty goodies.  My die is the new Fancy Reindeer Set from Cheery Lynn Designs which is a great set for building scenes.  My hoarded item is my precious Mulberry Paper and I have to admit that I add more mulberry paper to my stash every now and then.  This is white mulberry paper with gold tinsel inclusion.

In order to get you going on your own holiday cards, I’m giving away a Really Reasonable Ribbon October Ribbon Club Assortment to one random person who comments on this post.october2016lge

*Prize is being offered only to those with US shipping addresses*

Each Monthly Ribbon Club Assortment contains a holiday or color themed assortment of ribbon.  This month you will receive 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon or trim.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

My bow today was made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using Turftan Brown and Antique Gold Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added a few stands of Natural Burlap String behind the bow for a more rustic look.

  1. Hi Bonnie – very lovely card. I haven’t seen mulberry papers used for a while, but I really love them – I will have to dig mine out of my stash! Thanks for joining us at Craft Your Passion Challenges! – Patti (CYP DT)

P.S. I absolutely love your Bow-It-All tutorial videos – I refer to them almost every time I use my Bow-It-All!

    1. Thanks so much for the sweet comment Patti and I’m so glad you are finding the Bow-it-All videos helpful! Happy bow making!

  2. Lovely card. I have some Mulberry paper hidden somewhere in my stash. Love the look it gave your card. Oh, that bow is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I really like that great nature scene and the double bow on your card! The deer die is so unique and a great focal point!

  4. Simply stunning!! I absolutely love this card!! The mulberry paper is a lovely addition to the layering and the bow is “bow”dacious! LOVELOVELOVE! TFS!

  5. Oh, you inspire me to get out of Mulberry hoard! Love your gorgeous card and especially that deer die cut! So want to start making cards right now, but not until I finish the hop!!! LOL!!

  6. Every time I see you use mulberry paper I say to myself, “Self, get out your mulberry paper.” And then I totally forget about it until next time! This is STUNNING. I love all the layers and that fab bow and the die cut is amazing, too!

  7. Hi Bonnie I jus love this card it has a big presence to it. I love your use of mulberry paper on your cards. I think it gives the edges of your card a soft & delicate look. Like putting cheese cloth over a camera lens. I have a stash myself and will have to give your edging technique a try. I’ll see at the RRR hop later tfs.
