It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.
This time we have a Summer Flowers Theme and don’t forget to add ribbons or trims to your project.

I have been wanting to share some great Kanzashi designs with a video tutorial for ages and just never found time to make the video.  Well, I finally got one done.  I just love the beautiful creations that can be made once you learn a few petal variations, and below you will find my first video.  I hope you like it.
This is so much fun and there are so many beautiful variations just with color placement alone.  I’ll be back in the upcoming weeks with new samples and new petal variations.  I hope you will find this to be as much fun as I do!
The kanzashi flower today was made using 1-1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You can use any 100% polyester ribbon with the same results.  I have used Double-faced Satin Ribbon and 1-1/2″Gingham Ribbon with equally good results.  You will also find a large variety of Hair Clips and accessories on the Really Reasonable Ribbon website.

The tweezers that I talked about liking so much in the video are the Squadron Products Cross Action Curved Tweezer.  I highly recommend these tweezers and they are quite inexpensive.
These creations can be added to any type of hair clip or lapel pin or can be used as embellishments for bags or whatever you like.  I can’t stop making them!
This hair clip has been entered in the following challenges:
I hope you’ll head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and play along with our challenge.  Any type of project is welcome.
Thanks for stopping by!
