Cheery Lynn Designs Mother’s Day Themed Challenge

Hi friends.  This week we have a great new Mother’s Day themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.

For this challenge I created a Mother’s Day card and necklace gift set.  I sprayed the necklace flowers with a clear matte spray for protection.  I created the flowers and then adhered them to a small base of white cardstock for stability.  The chain was attached to that base piece under the flowers.

My beautiful bow was created with Sherbet and Hot Pink 5/8″ Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The bow was made on my trusty Bow-it-All Tool.

Cheery Lynn Dies Used:
I created bi-color petal layers for my roses.  On the white layers I used an old script stamp with pink ink to create some texture and I also inked all the edges.  I shaped the petals with a foam pad and stylus tool and assembled the layers to create the flowers.
This pretty gift set is a great example of what you can create with very few dies.  This stunning set only requires 3 dies and these dies are very versatile.  If you are just starting out with your die collection, these three will take you a long way.
