Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Designs April 2016 Blog Hop featuring the new North American Die Collection.
If you arrived here from Corina’s blog, you are on the right track. If not, why not head back to the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog and start from the beginning so you don’t miss any of the terrific projects.
Due to the growing popularity of state art and map crafts, Cheery Lynn Designs had released an entire North American Die Collection which also includes dies of the Canadian Provinces. These dies will be fun for arts and crafts projects, travel scrapbooks and more. We hope you enjoy them!
Be sure to hop through all the stops on the blog and leave a comment answering one or more of the questions on the Cheery Lynn Blog post for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Cheery Lynn Designs.
I created a scrapbook layout using my New Jersey die. These dies are truly wonderful for scrapbooking.
My family has spent quite a bit of time at Long Beach Island NJ, and these are some photos from many years ago – 1991 to be exact. I was much better at taking photos when my kids were young.
The very best thing about Cheery Lynn Designs dies is the detail you get on the dies. It’s simply amazing. They look fabulous as is, or you can ink the edges a bit and you’re good to go.
Can you believe how much this lighthouse resembles the actual Barnegat Light Lighthouse in my photos once I colored it? It’s amazing!
Just look at how realistic these dies look with all the little detailed markings on each die. One trip through the die cutter and you have all this amazing detail.
And this sign! Does this not look like actual wood?!! I cut this die twice – once in a speckled tan cardstock and once in brown. I inked the tan wood background section and then I inlaid the letters from my brown die cut for an amazing beach themed sign. These dies just add so much detail to a scrapbook layout.
Cheery Lynn Designs has such a wide variety of dies that you can always find the perfect die for any project. I just love all the fun beach themed dies I was able to use on my layout. Not too shabby for a ‘non-scrapbooker’!

Of course I never consider anything ‘done’ until I’ve added some ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I wanted to keep this pretty flat to add to an album so I just ran a piece of 1-1/2″ Champagne Netting under the bottom sentiment panel and a little dove-tailed piece of 5/8″ Light Coral Diamond Satin Ribbon peeking out each side.
I’m entering my layout in the following challenges:
