I love to use Stick It! adhesive on all my intricate die cuts. It’s a very thin adhesive that you apply to the back of your cardstock before cutting the die. You just peel and stick the adhesive to the back side of your cardstock. Then place your die on the right side of the paper and cut as usual. When your are ready to attach the die cut to your card or project, simply peel off the backing and position the die where you want it. The great thing is, the adhesive does not ‘grab’ immediately, so you have time to play with the positioning. When you are satisfied, simply press down firmly with your fingers or a small brayer to permanently adhere it.
My roses were created using the Large, Medium and Miniature Rose dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. I cut the pieces from dark purple cardstock and marbled momi paper, shaped the petals and created the flowers. The great thing about making your own flowers is they will always perfectly match your project.
I topped the card off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow made on my Bow-it-All V2.0 with Rose Bloom and Delphinium Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. To view a video tutorial on how to create this bow, please click HERE.
I also have a strip of Silver Glitz Ribbon topped with 3/8″ Rose Bloom Double-faced Satin Ribbon running across the center of the card under the sentiment panel. The silver ribbon helps to pull out the pretty silver accents on the momi paper background.
