Welcome to the RRR April Blog Hop.
If you arrived here from Jeanne’s awesome blog, you are on the right track. If not, why not head back to the RRR Blog and start from the beginning so you don’t miss any of the terrific projects.

This month the Really Reasonable Ribbon Monthly Ribbon Club Assortment is looking a lot like summer. I just love all the pretty apple green and turquoise ribbons. Isn’t it sizzling….??!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Here is a close-up of the flower I created with the 5/8″ Turquoise Diamond Satin.
For the heart I added a little embellishment made from the Island Splash Striped Grosgrain included in this month’s Ribbon club assortment.  This idea came from an unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate?) vaccuuming incident.  A ribbon end from one of the spools was sticking out and got caught in the vaccuum and naturally fayed off a huge length in a nano-second, but hey, thats how good ideas are born, right?  I thought the frayed threads might make an interesting embellishment.  I just cut about a 1-1/2″ piece of ribbon, wrapped some strong thread around the center and pulled out the weft thread leaving the slightly wavy long warp threads.  Cool look, right?
Great idea for your really short ribbon scraps!!
I then set out to make a cute flower to add to a hair clip or Pony-O Ring using some ribbons from the assortment and the directions I posted HERE.  I felt it turned out too big though, so it turned in to a gift topper.  I think it’s really pretty this way.  I used four of the ribbons from the April Ribbon Club Assortment along with Buttons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
It coordinated nicely with the card for a fun gift set.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Your next stop is Tosha’s wonderful blog.

I would love for you to leave a comment before you go.
