If God Brings You To It; He Will Bring You Through It

Hi friends.  Today I’m sharing another card showcasing some more of the new vintage dies from Cheery Lynn Designs along with some gorgeous ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I just love the new Dusty Miller Square and Dusty Miller Corner dies.  They are just so versatile.  I tend to stick with 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ square cards though and the corners were just a little too big.  This was easily remedied by snipping them where the to parts meet up and layering them.  They then became just the right size for this card.

My card design is pretty straight forward.  I created a piece of background paper using Distress Inks in old paper, antique linen and frayed burlap.  That was layered on a piece of dark brown and then I added my die cuts.

Next I added a layered strip of ribbon using Turftan Brown Delicated Stitched Satin Ribbon topped with Gold and Copper Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon and secured it on the back of the large dark brown base.  Then I added a layer of natural mulberry paper with torn edges.  That was then adhered to my card base.

I stamped my sentiment on to a piece of the Distress Ink paper and cut with the Vintage Bracket Shape die set, added a layer of kraft card stock and then backed with brown mulberry paper.  This was then added to the card over the ribbon using foam tape for some dimension.

My card was finished off with a pretty bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using Raw Silk and Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added an Antique Bronze Vintage Flower Charm to the bow center.

My card is A2 size (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) with a dark brown base.  I created some ivory background paper using Distress Inks.  I created some layers with blue and dark brown card stock along with natural mulberry paper.  That was topped off with the distress ink paper I made.

I cut the Vintage Tile die out of blue card stock twice to stack on my card.  I cut the Tin Lizze in dark brown, black and silver card stock and cut out different areas of each and added them to a base car which I cut out of dark brown metallic card stock to show off all the intricate details.  I layered the card on to my oval medallion and centered it on top of a dove tailed piece of brown ribbon.
I stamped my sentiment on cream card stock and cut using one of the Nesting Doll Tag dies and added it to the bottom left of my card.I finished things off with a shabby bow and some golden brown half pearls along with a pretty Antique Bronze Vintage Flower Charm.

My shabby bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and Light Blue Burlap String from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

New Vintage Themed Challenge on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog

9-17-16-1

Hi friends.  This week we have a great new Vintage themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.

I embossed using a brown paper with a white core and then I lightly sanded over the raised letters to reveal the lighter core of the paper for the center oval.9-17-16-2This card is a many layered card.  I made it a little bigger than my usual cards to take advantage of all the wonderful details in the Birthday Embossing Folder.  I also just love the Floral Bouqet Kit and used many of the different pieces in the set.

The card was topped off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using Turftan Brown and Ivory Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added some Antique Gold Burlap String to the back of the bow for some added texture.
