Believe in Your Dreams

Hi there.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft to share another card made with one of the NEW Release Bohemian Collection dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.

This is one of those dies that is just so beautiful and detailed that it demands center stage, and I didn’t want to clutter it up with anything else.  Isn’t the detail on the face and hair just amazing?!!
I used a shimmery metallic cardstock for a bit of a glow and I mixed gold, antique gold and silver for some added depth.  I inked her face with some distress ink as well.
I adhered the die and some stars on to a 5-1/2″ card base with some layers and mulberry paper and a few pieces of dove-tailed gold glitz ribbon mixed in the layers.

My card is A2 sized (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″).  I then cut a piece of handmade marbled paper at 3-3/4″ x 5″ and added a piece of white mulberry paper behind that with torn edges.  Then I mounted that to the card base.

I die cut the feathers using the same marbled paper.  I then cut a piece of purple cardstock using the square pierce and cut die and cut two squares in white cardstock – one smaller and one larger than the purple.  I layered and adhered them all and added the feathers to the top with some foam tape for dimension.

I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the pierced banner die.  To get the dove tail on each side, I run it half way through, then flip the die around and line up the holes and cut the other half.  I then backed it with purple cardstock and attached it to the bottom of my card.

My card was finished off with a glitzy bi-color double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 tool using purple and fuchsia Glitz Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Happy New Year!

12-31-16-1Have you been loving the NEW Shaker Card Dies and kits from Cheery Lynn Designs as much as I have?  They make it so easy to create a shaker card and the little shaker pieces are fantastic.

I created my shaker and this time rather than have the shaker sit on top of the card, I used foam to back the top half of the card as well so it would be flush.  I always take the extra time to color the sides of the foam too.  It make the finished card look that much nicer.

My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using Silver and Gold Glitz Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used a 14mm Flower Shaped Acrylic Rhinestone Embellishment in the center of the bow.
