My card today was created using pretty ribbons and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon, a wonderful digital sentiment from Graciellie Design, dies from Cheery Lynn Designs, tools from Westcott Brand and I’ve still been playing with some wonderful Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks to create wonderful background papers.
My digital sentiment is from the Sending Kindness set in the Beautiful Duos Stamp Bundle at Graciellie Design.
I love working with digital sentiments because they can be manipulated to different sizes and slightly different shapes if you are looking to fit them in a certain die shape. I did elongate this sentiment a bit to fit nicely in my oval die. As long as you don’t go too far with it, the words won’t look stretched or distorted. I do my reshaping with Microsoft Publisher, but you can do it with whatever program you happen to have.
By reshaping the sentiment a bit, it fits perfectly in my oval die from Cheery Lynn Designs and it becomes the star of the show.
I layered it on several layers including a pretty Distress Ink paper I made. I ran a strip of 5/8″ Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon topped with 3/8″ Gold and Copper Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon across the middle of the card and layered the sentiment oval on top of that.
Cheery Lynn Dies used:
LPC7 Oval Pierce & Cut Tool Lge
XL7 Oval Classic Large Stacker
B777 Floral Bouqet Kit
DL112AB Small Exotic Butterfies #1
I created a pretty floral spray for the bottom of the card using the Floral Bouquet die set from Cheery Lynn Designs. The butterflies were also cut from a Distress Ink paper scrap and mounted to the side of the sentiment. The pretty pearl and metal embellishments I used on the flower and the bow are a combination of 8mm Pearls (colored gold) and small Antique Bronze Sprocket Charms as shown below.
My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using 5/8″ Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and 5/8″ Moss/Cream Plaid Ribbon.
