Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon’s Ramblings Blog.

This time we have a Gift Packaging Theme, and don’t forget to add ribbons or trims to your project.

You’re going to love this project because it’s really not difficult and it has the added bonus of dazzling the recipient before they open it and therefore disguising a possibly mediocre gift…..  lol

I will admit that my gift wrapping does NOT usually look like this and you don’t want to wait until 2 minutes before you leave for the party to try to pull this off, but if you allow yourself 10-15 extra minutes, you can really jazz up that gift for a special occasion!
I used a piece of decorative art paper, but any sophisticated looking gift wrap will do.  I took the extra step of using double sided tape so no ugly tape pieces would show.  I used 3/8″ Silver Metallic Edge Satin to wrap around my gift and I did a simple little weaving patter in the bottom corner.  I used double stick tape to join the ribbon also and I repeated the weaving pattern on the back.  I adjusted the pieces so the seams would be under the weave.
I made a layered bow with the pretty 5/8″ Hyacinth Satin Swirl on my Bow-it-All Tool.  If you have not seen our video tutorials for the Bow-it-All, you can find them on the reasonableribbon YouTube channel HERE.
I added a Mulberry Rose to the center of my bow and I glued a silver glitter jingle bell underneath it.
My tag was made with my Silhouette Cameo which I love and don’t play with nearly enough.  They have oodles of tag designs in the Silhouette store.  I had a hard time selecting one!
I hope you’ll head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon’s Ramblings Blog and play along with our challenge.  Any type of project is welcome.
If you don’t want to play along, you may just want to hop over to get some gift packaging ideas for the upcoming holidays.
Thanks for stopping by!
