Hi friends. I am so happy to say I had my Christmas cards done and mailed on December 10th this year. This is a new record for me. I’m assuming all my recipients have received them by now, but if not – CLOSE YOUR EYES!
I like to keep my annual Christmas cards pretty basic (for me) and as flat as possible for mailing. If you stop by regularly, you know I LOVE layers and also MUST HAVE ribbon on my cards. While I did forgo my signature bow, I was able to sneak a little piece of Christmas Traditions Plaid Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon on there under the main column.
I used a pretty die that I found at Tutti Designs for my card. While the intricate die makes the card look complex, I just cut it three times and cut out different parts of the die in the different colors to make them stand out. I used Stardream cardstock from CutCardStock in red, silver and gold. I LOVE this cardstock!!
Did you know you can stamp on mulberry paper? Well, yes you can! I really like the way it turned out.
I do my annual cards assembly line style and once I got all the die cuts done, it went relatively quickly. Even with all my layers, I still came in just a little under one ounce – so I only needed one regular postage stamp. Score!

Hi Bonnie!! I love your beautiful Christmas cards! I totally agree with you on the keeping the cards flat as possible! I usually send out around 150 cards and I do not want to pay double postage for them! The Die cuts are really beautiful and I love the mulberry paper – you don’t see that a lot any more and I think it is truly beautiful! Merry Christmas!! Thank you for joining our anything goes Word Art Wednesday Challenge! Ginny M, DT
