Hi friends. This week we have a great new Lots of Layers themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog. I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.
This theme is sooooo my style. Almost all of my cards have lots (and lots) of layers! And also, no – I’m not over my red, white and blue kick just yet. <sorry!>
I started with a base card in white and centered the largest die in the Cheery Lynn Designs Royal Scandinavian A2 Card Facer die on the card front and cut. Then I cut the next smaller die in royal blue cardstock backed with Stick It adhesive and cut that. Then I centered and adhered that to the card base. Then I cut the smallest die in red cardstock backed with Stick it. Then I cut a piece of white cardstock in the same dimensions and adhered the red die cut to the white piece. Then I centered and adhered that to the card base. Then I printed my sentiment and cut it with the Rectangle Pierce and cut die and layered it on a piece of royal cardstock and added that to the card front. Enough layers for you? lol
My fun flower was made with the larger flower die in the Floral Bouquet kit and one of the foliage dies. If you are new to paper flower making, this set is fabulous. I cut this flower in blue and red and shaped the petals just a little with a foam pad and large stylus. So easy. The center is finished off with a sparkly gem. Then I just shaped the foliage leaves the same way and attached them to the back of the flower and then to the card under the sentiment.
