The August Ribbon Club Assortment is a beach themed collection of rich autumn colors and prints. It contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace. Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon. What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.
I just adore creating projects with a beautiful autumn color palette. There is just something about the mix of colors…
I created the paper for the pumpkins and leaves using Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks.
Did you hear that Cheery Lynn Designs is now My Maker’s Movement? They are still stocking some favorites from the Cheery Lynn offerings and they are also offering a fabulous new line of stamp and die sets. Head on over and take a look!
Cheery Lynn Dies used:
B827 3 Piece Fall Pumpkin Patch Die Set
B838 8 Piece Fall Leaves Die Set
LPC1 Square Piece and Cut Tool
MSD209 Some Bunny Loves You (I used the wavy line die)
My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the ribbons from the August Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The center of the bow is topped with a Antique Bronze Gear Embellishment. I also ran two ribbons from the assortment across the center of the card behind the flower focal point.

This month I created a beautiful autumn themed greeting card full of gorgeous realistic looking leaves. I just LOVE the pretty Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink paper that I created for the leaves. I also used some Distress Glaze on the leaves to give them just a hint of shine. So much fun!
Now for my headband of the month:
This headband was created on a 1/2″ White Plastic Headband using the one of the 3/8″ printed grosgrain ribbons from the August Ribbon Club Assortment along with Tangerine and Kiwi Solid Grosgrain to complement the print.

Hey crafty friends. Today I’m sharing what is supposed to be a masculine card for a teenage boy. I struggle so much with cards for guys and I’m not really all that psyched about this one, but it wasn’t terrible, so I thought I’d share it anyway. We are all our own worst critics, right? Anyway, I used some really cool dies on this card from Cheery Lynn Designs along with some fun burlap sting and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I pulled out my stash of Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink papers to find a nice brown for the owl. I backed the paper with Stick It adhesive and cut it out. I also added some wiggle eyes for fun. I also used part of the Ivy Corner Flourish as a place for my owl to sit.
Cheery Lynn Dies used:
I stamped the birthday sentiment and then cut it out with the oval dies. I wrapped some burlap string around the top of the card and mounted the sentiment over that. I also added some burlap string loops to the top of the sentiment. I wanted to continue the steampunk type theme so I also added some Metal Gear Embellishments
from Really Reasonable Ribbon
to finish it off.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy Crafting!
