Happy Anniversary Card

Hi friends.  Today I’m sharing a pretty anniversary card I made for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law showcasing some pretty ribbon, embellishments and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Since I was using some Distress Ink papers that I had already made, this was a pretty quick card to put together.  I cut my background die and layered it on the Distress Ink paper and then added a brown and navy blue layer with a final layer of natural mulberry paper at the bottom..  I then wrapped a piece of Navy Diamond Satin Ribbon across the center and topped that with Natural Burlap String.  This panel was then attached to a 5-1/2″ square navy blue card base that was topped with a piece of my Distress Ink paper.

My sentiment was stamped and die cut and layered again on brown and navy cardstock with a final layer of natural mulberry paper at the bottom.  The sentiment was attached to the card front with 3D Foam Tabs.
I added three Chrysanthemums from the Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemum Assortment under my sentiment.  I curled the wire around a needle tool before I added them.  These chrysanthemums some in a variety of colors and are a great addition to any project.

My pretty bi-color bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using Turftan Brown and Capri Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Really Reasonable Ribbon ‘Put a Bow on It’ Challenge

Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

This time we have a ‘Put a Bow on It’ Theme and don’t forget to add ribbons or trims to your project.

I know I’m often late to the party, but I recently purchased some stencils and I’m in love with the look!  I also purchased a Clarity Stencil Brush Set and it’s so easy to make a gorgeous background with a stencil and some ink pads and these fabby super-soft brushes.  Who knew??!!

I’m also loving a mixture of handmade flowers and purchased Mulberry Flowers.  I made my tea roses with some pretty distress ink paper I created and I was able to accent with pretty white Aster Daisy Stem Flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It’s the best of both worlds.

My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using Rose Bloom and Delphinium Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you’ll head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and play along with our challenge.  Any type of project is welcome.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary

Hi friends.  Today I’m sharing a lovely spring themed anniversary card featuring the new Mehndi Botanicals 3 die set from Cheery Lynn Designs along with some gorgeous ribbon and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I started with an A2 top fold card base made with white cardstock.  I stamped my sentiment on the bottom of the card base and used the Curved Border set to create the layered background for the top portion of the card.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:
I created the papers that I used for the flower and leaves using several colors of distress inks and I then spritzed it with water to create some visual interest.  I cut the flower layers and inked the edges of the petals.  I then used a stylus and foam pad to shape the petals and leaves before assembling the flower.  The center was finished off with a 12mm Dotted Wave Rhinestone from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

My bi-color bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using 5/8″ Tropic and Light Coral Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This gorgeous ribbon comes in 37 beautiful colors and is perfect for tying gorgeous bows.
