Celebrate Christmas Mini Album

Hi there ribbon lovers.  It’s a new month and time for a new Ribbon Club Assortment at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I’m still loving my October assortment which I used on my mini album that I’m sharing today and if you didn’t get a chance to head over and grab one, it’s not too late!!

This month we have a great deal for US residents.
You can get the October and November assortments together for a special low introductory price of just $17.00!

The October Ribbon Club Assortment is a collection of Christmas solids and prints.  It contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  The November Ribbon Club Assortment is a glitzy holiday themed assortment with 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

Mini albums are a great place to use up those short ribbon pieces that are too nice to part with!

I’m really interested in the construction aspect of mini albums and I love making them, but I don’t have a lot of experience.  I did some book binding many years ago, so the cover construction is familiar, but there is so much to learn as far as making fun and interactive pages.  I find the best learning method is to go to YouTube and watch what others are doing, try to replicate it and then use what you learn to create your own style.  There are a LOT of great album makers out there, and so much to learn.

Since it’s hard to photograph a mini album so you can see the details, I created a ‘flip through’ video.

I embellished the front of my mini album a little with some round and heart shaped embellishments.  RRR had a large selection of embellishments for every occasion.  Check out the high quality, low cost embellishment offerings HERE.

I finished off the front cover of my mini album with my signature bi-color double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool.

This month I created a pretty and sparkly Christmas card.

Dies used:
Cottage Cutz Joy Nativity die
Cheery Lynn Designs FRM154 Quatrefoil A2 Frame 2 Die Set
Cheery Lynn Designs XM7 Oval Die Cut
Cheery Lynn Designs M7 Oval Classic Stacker Layers, Small, Silver

I actually purchased the Joy Nativity die last year with the intention of using it for my Christmas cards, but it was a bit too intricate and it would have taken too much time to use it to mass produce 25+ cards.  It’s a lovely die to use for a few special people though.  I layered shimmery silver and gold cardstock for added interest.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the ribbons from the October Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the center was topped with a  12mm Silver Glitter Stardust Rhinestone.  I also added a double layer of pretty ribbons across the center of the card under the sentiment.

Merry Christmas and a SALE from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello every and Merry Christmas!!  I hope you are all spending the day with family and friends and good food.

Today I’m sharing a quick ornament I made with my favorite Christmas die from Cheery Lynn Designs this year – Brad the Reindeer.  It may be too late for this year, but it’s never too soon to start planning for next year, right?

Also – ENABLER ALERT:  Head on over to the RRR Blog to pick up the promotional SALE codes that will be good now through December 31st, 2017.

This die set makes things super easy because there is a separate die for each layer and you just cut them in the colors of your choice and assemble.  And look how wonderful it comes out!

Brad the Reindeer is just toooo cute!  He is perfect for cards, gift tags or for a Christmas tree ornament which is what I did here.  I made him double sided so he’s perfect for the tree.

Here he is on my tree.  Most of my ornaments are hand-made ornaments I created through the years.  I don’t have as much time for the elaborate ornaments any more, but Brad was a quick and easy addition this year.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a
Happy New Year!!
