Merry Christmas to All!

Hi friends.  Bonnie here with my FINAL Christmas card for 2016!  It’s embellished with pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The big day is almost here!!12-16-16-1

I colored up an adorable little reindeer image from Whimsie Doodles, and topped it off with a gorgeous bow with a 10mm Resin Flower with Rhinestone Center.  It’s just not done until it has a gorgeous bow!

I was doing really well up until I tried to create a ‘ground’ for this cutie to stand on.  I should have just let him float!  😏  Ah well, practice makes perfect, right?!

My beautiful bow was made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using 5/8″ Emerald Green Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and Red Bold Check Plaid Ribbon.  The center is finished off with 10mm Resin Flower with Rhinestone Center.

Christmas is a Piece of Home

Today I’m sharing one more holiday card with you featuring some of my favorite dies from Cheery Lynn Designs along with some gorgeous ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This card design can easily be used for any occasion by changing up the sentiment and color combination.
12-22-16-1
My card design is pretty basic.  My card base is a 5-1/2″ square.  Then I built up layers topping it off with the Duetschland Square Doily.  The sentiment was stamped and then cut with the Pierced Stacker #2 die.  My flowers were created using the Small and Medium Tea Rose dies using two colors of cardstock.  The ivory cardstock was inked for more interest.

The card was finished off with a double loop bow created on the Bow-it-All V3.0 using Vintage Christmas Plaid Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

At Christmas All Roads Lead Home

Hi friends.  I am so happy to say I had my Christmas cards done and mailed on December 10th this year.  This is a new record for me.  I’m assuming all my recipients have received them by now, but if not – CLOSE YOUR EYES!
I like to keep my annual Christmas cards pretty basic (for me) and as flat as possible for mailing.  If you stop by regularly, you know I LOVE layers and also MUST HAVE ribbon on my cards.  While I did forgo my signature bow, I was able to sneak a little piece of Christmas Traditions Plaid Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon on there under the main column.
I used a pretty die that I found at Tutti Designs for my card.  While the intricate die makes the card look complex, I just cut it three times and cut out different parts of the die in the different colors to make them stand out.  I used Stardream cardstock from CutCardStock in red, silver and gold.  I LOVE this cardstock!!
Did you know you can stamp on mulberry paper?  Well, yes you can!  I really like the way it turned out.
I do my annual cards assembly line style and once I got all the die cuts done, it went relatively quickly.  Even with all my layers, I still came in just a little under one ounce – so I only needed one regular postage stamp.  Score!
