Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon May Blog Hop.
If you arrived here from Cheryl’s blog, you are on the right track. If not, why not head back to the RRR Blog and start from the beginning so you don’t miss any of the terrific projects.
This month the Really Reasonable Ribbon Monthly Ribbon Club Assortment is a fun patriotic mix of red, white and blue.

The May Ribbon Club Assortment is a Red, White and Blue Ribbon Mix that contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a holiday or color themed assortment of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

While this assortment is great for Patriotic themed cards like the one I shared in THIS POST, it’s also great for other summer occasions.  I made a great Summer Birthday Card a few days ago along with this fun summer card I’m sharing today.  This card would be a great note card or even a summer bbq invitation.

Birthday Wishes Card

Hey ribbon lovers.  Today I have a pretty birthday card to share with you featuring some bright colors and pretty ribbon and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I love these bright colors for summer.  I made my background with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks.  I used a stencil on the top and the bottom is just sponged and spritzed inks.

I didn’t have a lot of time to make flowers this time and this Indie Bouquet  die set from Cheery Lynn Designs has easy ‘cut and go’ flowers.  The foliage is from the Floral Bouquet Kit Die Set.  I adhered yellow 10mm Resin Pieces to the center of my flowers.

I stamped my sentiment and then added an orange layer and some white mulberry paper.  I wrapped a layered piece of ribbon consisting of 5/8″ apple green Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and 3/8″ Citrus Chevron Grosgrain Ribbon across the middle of my card securing in the back.  I then adhered the sentiment oval on top of that ribbon band.
My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using 5/8″ Daffodil and Tangerine Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added an 8mm White Half Pearl to the center of my bow.

Happy Mother’s Day

[For the Jo’s Scrap Shack Blog Hop, please click HERE.]

Hi friends.  Mother’s Day in the US is only a couple weeks away, so I’m sharing a pretty card that would make any Mom smile.  It features some of my favorite dies from Cheery Lynn Designs and gorgeous ribbon and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created my background paper with Distress Oxide inks.  I cut the Lattice 2 die on Stick It Adhesive backed white cardstock and adhered it to the top third of the card.  Under that I added the Sweetheart edger lace and I topped it with some 3/8″ Delphinium Double-faced Satin Ribbon to hide the seam where it all joins.

I printed my digital sentiment and cut it using the Oval dies and then matted using more of the oval dies.  I created some additional layers and it’s then all assembled on a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base.

My pretty roses were made with the tea rose dies in small and medium.  I used alternating layers of dark purple cardstock and leftover Distress Oxide background paper.  I added some interest by stamping the petal layers with an old script background stamp.  I shaped the petals with a stylus and foam pad before assembling the flowers.  Once done they were added to my card under the sentiment panel.

My card was finished off with a pretty bi-color bow made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using 5/8″ Delphinium and Turquoise Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I topped the bow off with a pretty 14mm White flower pearl embellishment.  I’ve also added three purple 10mm Round Flatback Resin pieces to the bottom of the card.
