New Anything Goes with Ribbon Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

This time we have a theme of Anything Goes with Ribbon.

My card today was created using pretty ribbons and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon, a wonderful digital sentiment from Graciellie Design, dies from Cheery Lynn Designs, tools from Westcott Brand and I’ve still been playing with some wonderful Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks to create wonderful background papers.
My digital sentiment is from the Sending Kindness set in the Beautiful Duos Stamp Bundle at Graciellie Design.

I love working with digital sentiments because they can be manipulated to different sizes and slightly different shapes if you are looking to fit them in a certain die shape.  I did elongate this sentiment a bit to fit nicely in my oval die.  As long as you don’t go too far with it, the words won’t look stretched or distorted.  I do my reshaping with Microsoft Publisher, but you can do it with whatever program you happen to have.

By reshaping the sentiment a bit, it fits perfectly in my oval die from Cheery Lynn Designs and it becomes the star of the show.

I layered it on several layers including a pretty Distress Ink paper I made.  I ran a strip of 5/8″ Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon topped with 3/8″ Gold and Copper Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon across the middle of the card and layered the sentiment oval on top of that.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:
LPC7 Oval Pierce & Cut Tool Lge
XL7 Oval Classic Large Stacker
B777 Floral Bouqet Kit
DL112AB Small Exotic Butterfies #1

I created a pretty floral spray for the bottom of the card using the Floral Bouquet die set from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The butterflies were also cut from a Distress Ink paper scrap and mounted to the side of the sentiment. The pretty pearl and metal embellishments I used on the flower and the bow are a combination of 8mm Pearls (colored gold) and small Antique Bronze Sprocket Charms as shown below.

My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using 5/8″ Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and 5/8″ Moss/Cream Plaid Ribbon.

Cheery Lynn Designs Giving Thanks Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Designs Giving Thanks Blog Hop.

If you arrived here from Cherry’s Blog, you are on the right track. If not, why not head back to the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog and start from the beginning so you don’t miss any of the terrific projects.

As a Thank You to our wonderful customers, Cheery Lynn Designs is offering a 15% discount on all dies and supplies this week through 9/22/17.  This is the PERFECT time to stock up for your winter holiday needs.

I had some pretty autumn color Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink papers left from what I made earlier in the month and used some of them up today.  It’s easy to see what I did by looking at my card.  Lots of layers like I usually do.  I cut the Fall Leaf Doily out with one of my Distress Ink papers and layered it on cream cardstock using the angel wing die that comes in the set.  So easy!  I then cut the pumpkin trio in an orange Distress Ink paper and also in green and brown and I pieced the leaves, vines and stems on top of that.  I shaped this piece for a little dimension and adhered it with some foam squares.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 tool using ribbon from the August Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This assortment is available through the end of September.  In the center of the bow I added a 16mm Antique Bronze Flower Embellishment.

Graciellie Design New Release Blog Hop

Hi friends and welcome to the September Graciellie Design new release blog hop.

You should have arrived here from Arjeta’s blog.  If not, head back to the Graciellie Design Blog which is the beginning of the hop.  Be sure to comment through the hop for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Graciellie Design.Today I’m showcasing the new ‘This Season’ set from Graciellie Design which includes two lovely images along with 5 sentiments perfect for this time of year.  The great thing about this set is that all you need to do is change up the color palette, and the flower image and sentiments can really work for any season.
I opened my Microsoft Publisher program and dropped some guide lines to the size I wanted for the center of my card and then resized and added the image and sentiment and positioned them the way I wanted them.  I then printed this panel out on some textured cream cardstock.  I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils.
My background paper was created using Distress and Distress Oxide inks in Autumn colors and I love the way it turned out.
I always tend to make more of the Distress paper than I need, so I carried it over to the inside of the card and used another sentiment from the set.  The fuzzy paper on the bottom layer is natural mulberry paper.
I topped my card off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 tool using some of the ribbons from the August Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The center of the bow is topped off with a pretty Antique Vintage Flower Charm.  I also ran some ribbons across the center of the card under the image panel.

The August Autumn Harvest Ribbon Assortment is available through the end of September at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
