The October Assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and lace.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed ribbon collection.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

My tags today were created with the fun Penguin Pals set and the Winter Holiday Words set from Cheery Lynn Designs along with the Nesting Doll Oval #1 set.  They make for adorable gift tags when adorned with some of the ribbon from the October Ribbon Club Assortment.  I also added a pretty 15mm Red Open Rose to each tag.
My tags have been entered in the following challenges:

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #167 – Anything Goes theme

Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

This time we have an Anything Goes Theme and don’t forget to add ribbons or trims to your project.

For the base of my tag I created a pretty paper using Distress Inks.  I added some additional ink to a scrap of that same paper to make the butterfly paper a bit darker so it would stand out.

I used some pretty 15mm Open Roses for the body of the butterfly and for the butterfly antennae I took a piece of White Spiral Stamen and straightened it out and glued it on top of the cut out.

The sentiment is a great stamp from Quietfire Design.  I added three pretty 10mm Star Flatback Beads above the sentiment.

I took several strands of Burlap String in White, Pink and Light Blue and attached it to the tag through the top hole.  I then topped that with a bow.

My pretty bi-color bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using two of the 5/8″ width ribbons from the June Ribbon Club Assortment (available through the end of July).

For a video tutorial on how to make this bi-color bow, please click HERE.

I hope you’ll head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and play along with our challenge.  Any type of project is welcome.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Tag, You’re It Challenge

11-4-16-1
Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

RRRChallengeBadge

This time we have a Tag, You’re It Theme.  Create a fun tag or tag set and don’t forget to add ribbons or trims to your project.

I created a set of three fun Christmas shaker tags that can then be turned in to Christmas keepsake ornaments.  Double the fun!

My shaker tags were made with some of the dies from the new Shaker Die release from Cheery Lynn Designs.  They were embellished with ribbon from the November Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with some pretty Mulberry Open Roses.

My bows were created using my Bow-it-All V3.0.

For a video tutorial on how I created these gorgeous bows, please click HERE.11-4-16-4

This set would make a nice gift for a friend or relative as well.  Be sure to check out the NEW Shaker Dies, Shaker Pieces and Shaker Card Kits at Cheery Lynn Designs.  They sure do make it fun and easy to create shaker cards and projects.  In the star and tree tags/ornaments I used the Cheery Lynn shaker pieces and also added some sequins that I had in my stash.  Mix and match for more fun!11-4-16-1
