New Anything Goes Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog
This time we have a Anything Goes Theme and don’t forget to add ribbons or trims to your project.  We are showcasing the amazing digital collage sheets available over at Polly’s Paper Studio over on Etsy on this challenge.  You know I love to have great digital images on hand for quick cards and there is a wonderful variety at Polly’s Paper Studio.  Enter our challenge for a chance to win 5 digital files from Polly’s Paper Studio!

I’ve always loved a red and black color scheme.  This image worked great with the red plaid design paper.  I topped the card off with a bold red and black bi-color double-loop bow created with Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The bow was made on my Bow-it-All V2.0.

February Blog Hop with Craft Hoarders Anonymous

Welcome to the February Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop!

You should be coming from Donna’s Blog.  After visiting with me, hop on over to Wendi’s Blog next.  To start at the beginning of the hop, and for a full list of Blogger’s, go to Gloria’s Blog.
This month I will share the shameful secret of my handmade (by me) marbled paper stash.  I think my reason for hoarding crafty stuff is partly because some stuff is just so pretty, you don’t want to use it because then it will be gone.  I made this paper at the Art Continuum in Ohio in either 1999 or 2000.  Yup, it’s over 15 years old.  I don’t even remember exactly how I made it.  I think there was some sort of gel paints involved and on the turquoise one I can see that we textured with plastic wrap.
I decided after 15 years I could part with a small 4″ x 6″ piece of it.  I can’t promise to use the rest though because, well, then it will be gone!
I kept this card relatively simple because I really wanted to showcase the pretty marbled paper.  But I was able to work some beautiful handmade roses in.  I created the roses with the Small and Medium Tea Rose dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
The bow was created using 5/8″ Pearl Pink Diamond Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool.

New Tickled Pink Themed Challenge on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog

Hi friends.  This week we have a great new Tickled Pink themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.

Have I mentioned how much I love pink?!!  I’m sure I have.
The lovely background on this card is made with the Margarita Border die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I cut the border twice with Stick-It Adhesive on the back of the cardstock.  I then matched up the design overlapping by about 1/2″.  Then I cut down the middle of the overlap to give myself two pieces that would match up perfectly when adhered to the white background paper.  If you look super-duper close you can just see where the pieces meet on the bottom under the center leaf.  But doing it this way gives such a perfectly matching join, you would never know if I didn’t tell you.
The lovely roses were cut and shaped and then layered together to give me 3 different sizes for this piece.
