New ‘Give Thanks’ themed challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi friends.  This week we have a great new “Give Thanks’ themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.

I wanted to feature the beautiful colors of autumn and what better way than adding some wonderfully detailed leaf die cuts using the Small Leaves #1 die set from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Just look at all the beautiful veining on the leaves and the detail on the acorn.  Just gorgeous!
My beautiful bow was made with Ivory/Rust/Gold Plaid Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I created the simple double-loop bow on my Bow-it-All V2.0.  You can view all of my Bow-it-All video tutorials HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll head on over to the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog and play along with our challenge for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.

Happy Halloween One and All!

Hi friends.  Happy Halloween to all!
The big day is finally here and all the cute little ghosts and goblins will be running around the neighborhood having fun and collecting treats today.  I’m finishing out the Halloween crafting season for this year with one more ‘too cute to be scary’ Halloween card embellished with some of my favorite ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The Black Houndstooth Plaid Ribbon is one of my new favorite ribbons.  There is a HUGE selection of plaid and gingham ribbon styles at Really Reasonable Ribbon and it’s really hard to pick a favorite!
My pretty double-loop bow was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool.  It’s so quick and easy to tie gorgeous bows with this tool!  To view all my Bow-it-All video tutorials, please click HERE.
I also ran a piece of the black houndstooth plaid ribbon across the center of the card and topped it with the super cute Itsy Bitsy Spider Grosgrain Ribbon.  This one if my very favorite Halloween styles.  How can you not love those adorable spiders?!!

Let’s revisit the 1970’s!

Greetings from the 1970’s!  Today we are going retro with Cheery Lynn Designs!
One of the new dies in the October release from Cheery Lynn Designs is this fun retro VW bus.  I had a great piece of purple and blue tie-dye looking paper I created a while back with Color Burst pigment powders from Ken Oliver and I knew it was perfect for this project.  I applied a piece of Stick It Adhesive to the back of a piece of black cardstock and then cut out the Groovy Bus.  Then I fussy cut the dyed paper so it would fit behind the lower part of the die cut.  I added small pieces of yellow for the headlights and grey for the hubcaps and license plate and then added the tie-dye paper.  I love the way it came out.  I created a road with grey cardstock and put a few blades of grass on either side of the van.
I finished it off with a fun bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V2.0 with Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a fun peace sign button I found in my stash.
