Birthday Wishes and new Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays

Hi there.  It’s time for another fun challenge over at the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge Blog.  This is monthly Anything Goes Challenge Blog and we’d love to have you come over and join the fun.

I’ve been hoarding this beautiful butterfly design paper – I actually have it in several different colors.  I thought it was high time to break it out.
I’ve accented with the beautiful Ankara Lace Border from Cheery Lynn Designs along with a small butterfly from the Small Exotic Butterflies set.
I have a strip of 3/8″ Shell Gray Satin with Silver Edges around the center of the card under the sentiment and the beautiful double-layer bow was made with 5/8″ Turquoise Delicate Stitched Satin on my Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I inked the ribbon lightly before forming the bow with Memento Teal Zeal ink to darken it a bit and make it a perfect color match with the design paper.
This card has been entered in the following challenges:
I hope you’ll head over to the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge Blog and play along with our challenge this month.  We’d love to see what you are creating.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs & Kisses

Hi friends.  This is my last project as guest designer for Cheery Lynn Designs for January.  I enjoyed working with them and you will see many more projects with Cheery Lynn dies here on my blog.

I started this card with a 5-1/2″ brown square card base for this card topped with a medium pink, light pink and brown layer – each just a little smaller than the previous one.  I love layers!  Each of my smaller squares were created with the inner die from the Royal Scandinavian Doily.  I cut a 2-1/4″ square of ivory cardstock and centered the die and cut.  I then layered that on brown and pink cardstock squares and each square is topped with a pretty shasta daisy flower.  You will need four of these.
I cut three of the larger flower layers and one of the middle size for each flower – two of the large in light pink and one large and one medium in medium pink.  I lightly inked the petal edges with a tan ink and I cupped each petal up around my needle tool before assembling.  Add a half pearl for the flower center and then attach two leaves to the back of each flower and adhere to your card.
I finished off the card with a dainty little double-loop bow made on my Bow-it-All V2.0 using Brown Shimmer Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a sweet little sentiment at the bottom.

Thinking of You…..

Look at me – posting a card that I made just because I wanted to.  How often does that happen?  hahaha.

I’m trying to keep on keepin’ on with the Copic practicing and it really does help.  Yup, the more you color, the better your results.  Who woulda thunk it?

Love that bow?  You can make them too!!  Visit my YouTube Channel to view my video tutorials using the Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool.  I use this tool for all my bows and they are perfect every time.  This bow is make with 5/8″ Hot Pink Delicate Stitched Satin.
The ribbon wrapped around the center of the card is Hot Pink Satin with Grosgrain Edge Ribbon.
Like the little Sweet Christine paper flower?  That’s called creative mistake covering.  Don’tcha know that every time I turn my back on a completed colored image, when I look back the ‘spot gemlins’ have come and made a mark on it that screams ‘look at me!!’.  What is it with that?
You could use this card for Valentine’s Day or for any occasion.  Perfect for your favorite little girl!
