Elegant White on White Anniversary Card with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone.  I’m showing off my Cheery Lynn Designs Dies again today.

Since the Cheery Lynn Challenge theme this week is Winter Whites, I thought I would give it a go.  I must say, it’s really hard to do an all white card.  Looking back, I can see that adding a colored image would have helped quite a bit, but since it wasn’t a total fail, I thought I would share.

I started with a white 5-1/2″ square card base.  I then cut 4 pieces of the Ankara Lace Border.  I cut the ends of each piece at a 45 degree angle to form a frame.  I then topped that with a 4-1/4″ square of white shimmer paper backed with some white mulberry paper.  On top of that sits the Felicity Doily which is topped with mini fanciful flourishes and a beautiful Shasta Daisy.  The anniversary sentiment is bracketed by two pretty little flowers from the Sweet Christine die strip with leaves from the Ivy Strip, and it’s all finished off with a gorgeous double-loop, double-layer bow using White Delicate Stitched Satin and my Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  For videos on how this bow was created, visit my YouTube challenge HERE.
Is this flower gorgeous or what?  This Shasta Daisy Die is a MUST HAVE die if you love making paper flowers.  You can whip these beautiful daisies up in no time.  They are so quick and easy.

Thank You… for Inviting me to Guest Design for Cheery Lynn Designs!

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!  I’m so excited about my invitation to be the guest designer for the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog for January and this is my very first post for them.  I’ve fallen in love with the gorgeous Cheery Lynn Designs Dies and I’m quickly building my stash.

I cut the beautiful Alpine Flourish Die in white and mounted it on a piece of grape cardstock and then on a darker purple layer and then some white mulberry paper.  That really shows it off.  That gorgeous flower is made with the Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip.  I inked the edges with a darker purple ink to give some dimension, shaped the petals and assembled the flower.
My Thank You sentiment is from Create with TLC and the double-layer bow that finishes things off is made with Grape Plaid Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and created with my Bow-it-All V2.0.  Want to know how that bow was made?  Visit my YouTube Channel for lots of Bow-it-All video tutorials.
I used the Mini Fanciful Flourish Left and Right dies to embellish the flower.  The flourish wasn’t quite long enough to span the bottom of my sentiment, but it was a bit longer than needed for the side.  So, I snipped a portion off on the side and added it to the bottom with a tiny bit of glue.  You can see where I did that by the arrow below.

Thank You Very Much!

Hey everyone.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  Now a few days to relax a bit before real life starts up again……

I’m playing along with the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge again this week and the theme is Anything Goes.

Since I don’t have a huge collection of Cheery Lynn Dies (yet), I have to make the most of the ones I have.  The beautiful background made of kraft color paper was made with the small inner piece of my Alpine Flourish Doily.  I cut the kraft paper piece a little larger than needed and I then ran the die through the machine, moved it over next to the first cut and continued this way until the whole piece was cut.  I then trimmed it down to my desired size.
Those beautiful roses are made with the Tea Rose Medium Die – one of my favorites.  I just love making paper flowers, so stay tuned for more in the upcoming weeks.

And of course my beautiful bow is made with one of my favorite ribbons – Delicate Stitched Satin in Royal Blue from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It was created with my Bow-it-All V2.0.
My Thank You sentiment is a digital stamp from Create with TLC.
