New Tickled Pink Themed Challenge on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog

Hi friends.  This week we have a great new Tickled Pink themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.

Have I mentioned how much I love pink?!!  I’m sure I have.
The lovely background on this card is made with the Margarita Border die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I cut the border twice with Stick-It Adhesive on the back of the cardstock.  I then matched up the design overlapping by about 1/2″.  Then I cut down the middle of the overlap to give myself two pieces that would match up perfectly when adhered to the white background paper.  If you look super-duper close you can just see where the pieces meet on the bottom under the center leaf.  But doing it this way gives such a perfectly matching join, you would never know if I didn’t tell you.
The lovely roses were cut and shaped and then layered together to give me 3 different sizes for this piece.

New Non-Traditional Christmas Colors Themed Challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi friends.  This week we have a great new Non-Traditional Christmas Colors themed challenge over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  I hope you’ll head over and link up a project to share with us.

I went a little crazy with my ‘non-traditional’ colors, but I love the way this card turned out.  I love all the layers and I had a lot of fun creating the multi-colors poinsettias.
I ran a strip of Apple Green Diamond Satin Ribbon across the middle of the card under the image and topped that with some fun Christmas Lights Multi Satin Ribbon.  My bi-color double-loop bow was made with Shocking Pink and Turquoise Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used my Bow-it-All V2.0 to create the bow.

Winter Snowman Fun

Hi friends.  Today I’m sharing a card showcasing my favorite Glitz Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love the fact that this ribbon has a beautiful glittery sparkle AND it’s really great to work with too.  Some metallic ribbons do not cooperate well, but this ribbon is a dream to tie a bow with.

The great Glitz Ribbon comes in eleven great colors.  Many of those colors are show in the Glitz Ribbon Assortments below.
I tied a simple double-loop bow from white glitz ribbon to top off my card.  I felt like a classic and simple bow would be enough for this card because the shimmer of the ribbon already draws your eye.  For a video tutorial on how I created this bow on my Bow-it-All V2.0, please click HERE.
It’s hard to see in the photo, but the shimmer of the ribbon works perfectly with the glitter that I used on the snowman hat.
