Today I grabbed a Spellbinders die that has been sitting idle on my shelf for years. Do you have some of these crafty things too?? You just had to have it and then never use it. It’s a shame. So, dust off those crafty goodies and USE them. 🙂
This card came together pretty quickly as I let the background die do most of the work. The purple background paper (and the green accents paper as well) was created using Distress Inks. I added some pearls to the butterfly to create a body. Then I stamped my sentiment and mounted it on a tag die. I layered two of the ribbons from the July Ribbon Club Assortment
to use for the sentiment tag. I adhered the ribbon to the back of the main panel and then backed that with white mulberry paper.
Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon July Ribbon Club Assortment
Stamps: Just Rite Stampers Large Oval Celebrations
Dies: Spellbinder Butterfly Magic Shapeabilities, Classic Ovals Small and Large, Ribbon Tag Trio 2
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Distress Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles
11mm Heart Shaped Flat Back Pearl
Adhesives: Stick It, Scotch ATG, Designer Dries Clear, E6000
White Mulberry Paper
Hey ribbon lovers. Today I have a pretty birthday card to share with you featuring some bright colors and pretty ribbon and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love these bright colors for summer. I made my background with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. I used a stencil on the top and the bottom is just sponged and spritzed inks.
I stamped my sentiment and then added an orange layer and some white mulberry paper. I wrapped a layered piece of ribbon consisting of 5/8″ apple green Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon
and 3/8″ Citrus Chevron Grosgrain Ribbon
across the middle of my card securing in the back. I then adhered the sentiment oval on top of that ribbon band.
