Since setting up my blog, I’ve been looking around at all the fun challenge blogs out there.  I also have come to the conclusion that it’s hard work to create a card that fits the theme for multilple challenges.  Kudos to those that can link up 15 or more challenges for one project.  I got 8 today and that was quite a production for me!!

I started with sketch SSS145 from The Sweet Stop Sketch Blog and went from there.  I often don’t know where I’m going when I get started, and it sometimes doesn’t go anywhere good, but I’m pleased with the way this card turned out.  I tried some distressing on this card too which is not exactly in my comfort zone.  Here is a different angle to show the distressing.  I’ll get a little more aggressive with it next time.  😉
When I thought I was done, I just had creams and browns and it looked ‘blah’.  So I added some Cotton Candy Baker’s Twine over the Brown Satin w/Scalloped Edge Ribbon across the center and I made a small ribbon rose with 5/8″ Pink Satin w/Grosgrain Edge Ribbon.  I slipped a couple of moss leaves under the rose to finish it off.  I think it looks great now.
